Alamo Group (IL) announced Monday that it is reorganizing nationwide parts distribution for the company. Under the new organization, repair parts shipments for the company’s Rhino and M&W products will originate from the Gibson City manufacturing plant and will be trucked daily to the UPS hub in Louisville, KY. "This ties parts service responsibility more closely to the manufacturing plant and brings focus to improved inventory management." said Rick Pummell, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Alamo's Ag Division. "This is good for our customers and good for our financial performance".
Alamo Group (IL) serves a network of over 1,200 dealers from its Gibson City headquarters and had previously operated a parts distribution warehouse in Memphis, Tennessee. "Our overall service to dealers will be improved out of the Louisville hub.", said Alamo Group Director of Sales Tom Taylor. "We'll be able to take advantage of faster UPS distribution channels and a higher order fill rate from a single distribution point." The new distribution structure will be implemented over the next 90 days and the additional staffing requirements are being evaluated.

Rhino is proud to introduce their new heavy-duty 400 Series single spindle rotary cutters. Coming on the heels of the successful launch of the 100 and 200 Series, the Rhino 400 Series promises fantastic results as well.
Today’s rotary cutter customer expects more. They want greater durability, nicer styling, a clean cut, and above all, they want more value for their dollar and that is what the 400 Series delivers.
Two models are available including the 472 and 484 providing cutting widths from 72" up to 84". To offer an improved cutter compared to previous models, several upgrades were made. Cut quality has been improved in two areas. First the blade tip speeds have been increased significantly on each model. Secondly, the side skirt depth has been increased to allow larger volumes of material to enter the cutting chamber more efficiently. Durability has been improved upon by increasing the strength in the deck bracing and by making heavier-duty 210 HP gearbox standard equipment.
To deliver greater value and extend the service life of the cutter, the 400 Series deck is domed front to rear and side to side to help shed water and reduce material build up, plus the units are painted with a durable powder coat paint. Other standard features that make the new Rhino 400 Series cutter an intelligent choice for your next rotary cutter include a 4-1/2" diameter maximum cut capacity rating, cross-braced pan blade carriers, and excellent lower gearbox output seal protection and front and rear safety deflectors.

Alamo Group® has announced the introduction of the new C-Series Backhoe attachments from Rhino®. The new C-Series backhoes have a curved boom design that matches the sleek lines of today’s compact and utility tractors, provides greater visibility into the digging area, and requires fewer moves for trenching or close up work. Each of the three backhoe models can be equipped with sub-frame or three point mounts designed for a wide range of tractors. Sub-frames increase the tractor’s strength and add to its versatility by allowing the customer to install or remove the backhoe very quickly without tools. “We began with a tractor focused perspective that allowed us to target specific performance characteristics. For example, we wanted a backhoe attachment that was easy to install, that was easy to mount and dismount to and from the tractor without tools, and that provided a great value for our customers. The new C-Series backhoes meet and exceed those goals.” according to Randy Webb, Rhino Product Manager.
The three models in the C-Series lineup provide outstanding performance for the tractors they match, offering digging depths of 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5 feet. Digging forces ranging from 2,827 to 4,159 pounds, and bucket widths ranging from 9” to 36” are available for each size. Each of the backhoes uses a number of heavy duty castings for greater durability in high wear areas. Each backhoe model provides simple operation, with a single control valve that controls all functions.
